We accomplish this by creating teams of Swan Research senior staff members and subject matter experts with considerable experience in areas related to each project. President and Principal Scientist SWAN's president and principal scientist, Ms. Joanne Marshall-Mies, is an industrial/ organizational psychologist with over 25 years experience in conducting research in applied behavioral and social sciences. Much of her work has involved the application of psychological principles to research relevant to organizations and the world of work. In addition to her strong technical skills, Ms. Marshall- Mies has demonstrated effective program management, project direction, and staff supervision skills in numerous research settings. This includes 19 years as President and Director of Research at SWAN and prior experience as Program Manager for a major corporation and as Senior Scientist/Project Director for several large behavioral science research organizations.
